So today I made a cup of strong tea and finally got round to writing my #little loves post. I adore this linky hosted by Morganna over at Coffeeworksleeprepeat.
At little points of this week it definitely felt like Spring is trying to peep through. I can’t wait for the temperatures to increase a little. In the meantime its filling up the house with bunches of spring flowers that is satisfying my spring craving.
I have downloaded the A boy made of blocks onto my kindle. I am hoping to take part in the Bookclub140 Twitter chat hosted by Stacie over at Parkerandme. I have only done light reading of magazines and blogs of late and I’m looking forward to getting back into reading as it’s a big love of mine, the idea of an online book club really appealed to me. Not sure where I will find the time yet as my reading used to take place on trains and planes when I would be travelling for work. But I’m going to really try to make time for reading this book as it looks like a really good one.
We downloaded this on the sky planner and I have to admit I didn’t get into it from the first episode. Mr G continued and oh my am I glad he did, it was really gripping. We have watched all the 1st series now and I believe s2 has now started so will look forward to watching that.
If you haven’t seen it already. Give it a try it’s v good. It’s set in a town in the arctic called fortitude, there is no crime there as it’s a small community of environmentalists, scientists etc and their families. Then a v brutal murder takes place, then another and so on. I don’t want to say any more than that. Also the background of the episodes is just stunning.
I was hoping to show my pallet table here, however with Amelia still having severely disrupted sleep, teeth?, bad sleeper? Who knows! I have been a bit exhausted and going through the motions. So the making of the table has been outsourced to my dear dad and I’m hoping to be able to show pics on my blog v soon.
So my only ‘make’ this week has been to put together a lampshade for my living room. I know, I’m scraping the barrel for makes this week hey! I bought it in IKEA amd it’s called the Nymo. I love that the pattern on the outside has an Art Deco feel and our house is a 1930’s so it’s a subtle nod to its history. Our cushions also have a similar pattern, and it has a touch of copper and who doesn’t love copper at the moment it’s everywhere.
Last week we took the girls to see trolls in the cinema.
Annabella has been obsessed about trolls, Princess Poppy in particular, and hadn’t even seen the film! what a lovely film it was. Such a feel good film.
cake run, ha! Joke….. Hmmmm maybe I’m not joking -sob!
Before getting pregnant with Amelia, I was a big convert to hot yoga. I’m hoping to get back into it soon.
My gorgeous Annabella has been awarded friend of the week at school. I’m so insanely proud of my big girl, she is fitting into school so well. She adores learning and I have to admit I adore learning from her.
Until next week!
