I haven’t done any house related posts on my blog for some time. I have mainly been posting pics as we go on my Instagram.
We are slowly making our way through the upstairs and one of the first rooms to be finished is the bathroom.
Previous readers of my blog will have know that our house was a project and was stuck in a 60/70 time warp. You can read more about it by clicking here.
Our bathroom; when we moved in, looked like this
Our eyes were dizzy from all the contrasting patterns. The toilet was next door and it had a terracotta coloured tile effect wallpaper and of course both rooms had the obligatory polystyrene tiles on the ceilings.
First job was moving the tank into the loft and from then we decided to knock the toilet and existing bathroom into one. This allowed us to install a large shower enclosure that feels a bit like a walk in shower.
We even decided to keep a bit of pattern in there by choosing these gorgeous Devonstone tiles from tiles direct. I adore them!
Then to lift the white sanitary ware we added the dark grey gloss sink vanity unit from Ikea.
A couple of candles for bubble baths and the obligatory squeezy bath toys for the girls and our family bathroom was complete!
